Going on dive trips with Chris has been some of the most memorable experiences of our lives! Not only did he train us to get SSI certified, but on later dive trips to Canada, Honduras, and Fiji, he’d also keep an eye on us underwater, provide feedback and specialty training, as well as answer any questions. His guidance made us feel much more comfortable and safe in the water. It’s always a pleasure and much more relaxing to know Chris is around and eager to help when needed!

However, what truly makes Chris awesome is his positive attitude that keeps the entire group upbeat and excited, regardless of whether you’re new to diving or have a ton of prior experience. He also takes amazing photos during our dives and promptly shares those so we can send them to family and post on social media. I am currently an Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver thanks to Chris. I had originally quit during the Open Water certification process due to fear and anxiety, and then Chris took me under his wing. He took over as my dive instructor and helped me get through the process via one-on-one diving sessions. I have been on several dive trips that Chris organized and led. Chris was the primary reason that I, along with other dive team members went on these trips. His commitment to our safety, along with always offering to help us become better divers is unparalleled. I have had so many great memories with Chris as a dive vacation leader and I have a significant itinerary of trips with him. He led me on trips from Blackbeard's liveaboard in the Bahamas to exotic top-notch island destinations in Belize, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, and Roatan. One thing was always a constant. He did whatever it took to make the experience top-notch whether you were a beginner or advanced. He is particularly adept at leading groups as they navigate airports to the islands and back and forth at the destinations as well as around coral heads. He always made sure everyone got to where they needed to go as smoothly as possible above water or under. 

Chris is great with individuals of all backgrounds ability levels and ages. He would accompany many on their first ocean dives as well as me a Master Diver on unforgettable experiences. Without me even asking him, he helped me celebrate my 400th dive, making sure I had photo and video memories of the milestone. He also has a way about him as he develops great relationships with the local dive team leaders. He also taught my Deep Water Certification in Bonaire!

Whether we were at a top-notch resort on an exotic island or roughing it aboard a Blackbeard Cruise, Chris had things under control, always putting the group first and making sure all were taken care of before himself. He is always well-prepared and organized, making trips stress-free. 

As an added note, In Roatan, I had the unfortunate situation to test positive for COVID-19 and Chris made me feel at ease as I navigated the possibility of having to quarantine there after everyone left before I could legally return home to the US. Fortunately for me, a subsequent COVID test proved negative, and it was not an issue, but I cannot tell you how much I appreciated his support and concern when I didn’t know where to turn. 

I recommend Chris Lucas wholeheartedly and I would dive with him anytime!  I cannot think of anyone I would rather have lead my drive trip. I have never seen a more confident and relaxed diver under the water or at the hotel or airport. You can easily tell that he ABSOLUTELY loves the underwater world! And, he knows the names of all the fish which impresses me.

My personal experience traveling with Chris. I found our time together on these trips to be carefree and fun. Chris made the trips that way, his style of being in charge is very laid back. I was informed of every detail along the way and never did I feel that I was imposing on him during the trip to ask a question I knew he had answered previously. 
I found Chris's advice on diving to be very helpful and improved my experience under the water. He knows what he talking about as a long-term diver and group leader.

Chris has been an incredible trip leader, SCUBA instructor, and friend through my journey as a diver. Chris led a trip I was on with my family In Isla Mujeres where we snorkeled with whale sharks- an unforgettable experience. Chris saw my passion for snorkeling, helped me get SCUBA certified, find the right gear, and led me on three incredible dive trips to Gainesville, Florida, Grand Cayman, and the Exuma Cays in the Bahamas. I completed my certification in Gainesville in a group of divers of all skill levels. Chris balanced the differences in skill levels well- he gave autonomy to the more experienced divers while supervising and instructing the new divers. Chris has always made me feel safe. His trips are carefully planned and thought out, and most importantly Chris ensures fun is had by all. I look forward to booking another trip with Chris, and I recommend him to anyone looking for an exciting, fun-filled adventure, above or below the water.

I have gone on multiple dive trips led by Chris, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Chris is skilled at catering to a diverse group of people with very different expectations for their vacations and somehow manages to ensure everyone has an unforgettable experience. His patience and calm demeanor are truly impressive—even when faced with extreme challenges, he maintains a positive attitude and a fun, approachable personality.
Chris was my original instructor and even taught my open water course and from the very beginning, I was struck by his ability to ease the nerves of new divers. He creates a safe and encouraging environment for everyone, regardless of their skill level, and makes even the most inexperienced individuals feel confident and comfortable in the water.
Beyond his teaching skills, Chris is someone I trust implicitly. I know that in any challenging or risky situation underwater, he has the knowledge, experience, and composure to handle it.

Traveling with Chris is always a great experience. He is organized, knowledgeable, and able to handle a change in travel problems with professionalism. His communication with the group is always informative, providing reminders for activities as well as options for people to do and how to arrange them if it’s not part of the scheduled trip already. I always know I’m going g to have an amazing, no-stress trip when Chris is in charge, both above and below the water!

I’ve traveled with Chris for diving vacations many times, and he never fails to exceed my expectations. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a complete beginner, he has an incredible way of making everyone feel included and comfortable.

He gives great pre-trip information. He makes sure everyone's questions are answered.
When traveling, he is the first to arrive and the last to get through the airports. He is there for you every step of the way.

One example was at the airport and he gave me his blanket because I was cold on a flight. He didn't need to do that, but it made a cold flight much more enjoyable.

Chris is also the greatest scuba instructor I've ever met! His experience in diving is immense. I had my 10-year-old start taking scuba classes with him! By the time my son was 15, he achieved the Master Scuba Diver level! I wouldn't have trusted anyone else to train my son. He also trained me to Master Scuba Diver!

I have been so comfortable traveling with Chris. I've gone to Grand Cayman, Belize, Honduras, St Lucia, and even Fiji with him!
Planning and organization can make a big difference in everyone's enjoyment. Having someone attentive to those details allows the group to relax and focus on the experience. 
Chris will take care of you! It doesn't matter if you are 5 or 95, Chris will make sure everything runs smoothly.

One of my favorite memories with Chris was diving along a vibrant coral wall in Dominica and spotting a giant sea turtle gliding to the depths.
